God knows that to be true, that\u2019s why He asks us to make guarding our heart a priority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Scripture<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Above all else, guard\u00a0your heart,\u00a0for everything you do flows from it.<\/em><strong><em><sup>\u00a0<\/sup><\/em><\/strong><em>Keep your mouth free of perversity; keep corrupt talk far from your lips.\u00a0Let your eyes\u00a0look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. Give careful thought to the\u00a0paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<cite><em>Proverbs 4:23-26<\/em><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reflect<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Above all else guard your heart.&nbsp; Our heart is the source of the life we live, not just the blood pumping heart in our body, but the Christ Centered heart in our spirit.&nbsp; It is important to Him and He wants it to be important to us.&nbsp;&nbsp; He asks us to do so and then quickly gives us specific ways to guard our hearts. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s as if He is saying, \u201cbehind this locked door is treasure that you cannot fathom.&nbsp; It is so very important and this is how I want you to guard it\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Watch your words. T<\/strong>hey are the overflow of your heart (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Prov.+4%3A27&amp;version=NIV\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Prov. 4:27<\/a>) but also be very very careful as to what words you let dwell in your heart.\u00a0\u00a0 Let the true and life giving words Jesus tells us be the ones filling your heart \u2026 you are loved, you are forgiven, God has a plan for you, God is with you \u2026 and so many more.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Look towards God.<\/strong><em>\u00a0\u00a0<\/em>If we spend all of our time watching America\u2019s Got Talent \u2026 then AGT will become our filter and reference point for all things! If we spend all of our time looking towards God \u2026 then He will become our filter and reference point for all things!\u00a0 It\u2019s obvious which one will be more life giving.\u00a0 A dancing dog won\u2019t give us much help when we look to make small or big decisions in our lives.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pay attention to where you are going<em>.<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0\u00a0<\/em>You would never walk through the Grand Canyon blind folded or go on a roller coaster right after heart surgery.\u00a0 Nope.\u00a0 You would pay attention to where you are going and what your heart is ready to take on.\u00a0 The same with our heavenly heart.\u00a0 Pay attention to where you are going, who you are hanging out with, what will be good for your heart.\u00a0 These things will protect you and your heart.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Camper Corner<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Together, name five things good and helpful to protect your heart.\u00a0 Now think how you can find or do those this week \u2026 in your car, in your home, in your schedule.\u00a0 Encourage each other and celebrate as your family does them together.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Whether it is money in a bank or third base in a game \u2026 we go to great extremes to protect what is important to us.
