Reflect<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Apples and oranges\u2026Why couldn\u2019t I compare them? Because they aren\u2019t the same.<\/em> They were created differently. It would be like walking through a museum and saying, \u201cthat statue is so much better than that painting.\u201d Or sitting on the front porch at a farm and declaring that the pig in front of me makes a horrible duck. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are some things we just can\u2019t compare. YOU are one of those things. God took an amazing amount of time and creative measures to create YOU just like He wants and He wants each of us to be like no one else. So, why would we dare compare ourselves?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- Keep your eyes on The One who made you.<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0The days will come when we think we have no worth, believe we are not as good as someone else or wonder what we have to offer.\u00a0 When we hear those whispers in our heart and they begin settling into our souls we must move fast.\u00a0 Move our eyes and heart quickly to Jesus.\u00a0 Dig deep into His Word and what He says about us. In\u00a0Genesis<\/a>, He declares \u201cIt is very good\u201d after He created us.\u00a0\u00a0Psalm 139<\/a>\u00a0reminds us we are His masterpieces.\u00a0\u00a0I Corinthians 12<\/a>\u00a0shows us that Jesus NEEDS His people to be different.\u00a0 Think about God. Take time to look at what He has created:\u00a0 sunsets, nature, life.\u00a0 You cannot<\/strong>\u00a0deny He has a special talent of making amazing things \u2026 including you.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Keep your eyes off yourself.<\/strong>\u00a0When you are thinking of others, you cannot think of yourself.\u00a0 Note that it says \u201cthinking of others\u201d not \u201ccomparing yourself to others\u201d.\u00a0 When I find myself sizing my gifts, my life, my season to someone else, I realize I am really just thinking about me.\u00a0 One simple switch in my view changes my mindset greatly.\u00a0 Who can I do something kind for?\u00a0 Who needs a listening ear?\u00a0 Who can I help out?\u00a0 Who can I pray for today?\u00a0\u00a0 All of the sudden I realize I am using the very way the Lord made me to help others.\u00a0 Win\/Win for all and God gets the glory all around.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
God is crazy about you and me. He took great JOY in creating us just like He planned. We should take great JOY in being <\/strong>who He made us to be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Read the verse at the top of this devotional. It has a couple of things for us to do \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
*Praise Him. Take a moment to thank God for how He created you. Thank Him for your life. Be specific, what do you love that He gave you, what is your favorite thing about yourself, what do you love to do with the life He gave you?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
*Know it full well. Right now, where you are, look around. Name the first ten things you see showing God\u2019s wonderful works. Do that often \u2026 and don\u2019t forget to put yourself in that category. He has made you wonderfully.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
